Although the AUR Wolves fell to a 51-34 loss to Campus Bio-Medico, this was still an encouraging performance and represented real progress for the team.
In their previous outing against Roma Tre University, AUR fell by 40 points. Cutting that deficit nearly in half signals tangible improvement and growing competitiveness.
Coming into the game, the statistical contrast was stark: Campus Bio-Medico had allowed the fewest points in the league, while AUR had conceded the most.

That defensive disparity became evident as the game unfolded. Campus Bio-Medico executed efficiently on both ends of the floor, while AUR struggled to generate consistent scoring opportunities against a disciplined, well-structured defense.
However, the night was not without promise for AUR.
The team opened the first quarter with energy and confidence, putting up 15 points in an encouraging start that demonstrated what they are capable of when playing assertively. Much of the offensive production was fueled by Travis Finley, who delivered a determined performance throughout the contest. Finley accounted for all of AUR’s points in the third quarter and contributed half of the team’s scoring in the fourth, continuing to compete even as the margin widened.
After the game Finely described his performance as “alright, not amazing,” a response that reflected both personal accountability and the team’s collective standards. In conversation, players noted that the roster has not had much time to develop on-court chemistry. With practices held only once per week, building cohesion and rhythm has been a challenge, and at times it shows during high-pressure stretches.
By contrast, Campus Bio-Medico appeared composed and cohesive, fielding what looked to be a more experienced group with strong internal chemistry and clear communication. Their defensive rotations and ball movement suggested a team that has spent significant time playing together.
With more shared minutes, continued development, and additional practice time, AUR has clear areas to build upon. The early first-quarter spark and the Wolves' persistence highlight the foundation of a team still forming its identity, one that, with consistency and cohesion, could translate effort into stronger results as the season progresses.
