From powerful spikes to perfectly timed sets, the gym was filled with the sharp sounds of an action-packed volleyball clash as AUR/Prometeo faced CUS Roma Tor Vergata. Playing in a best-of-five format, CUS Roma secured the win after three straight sets.
CUS Roma Tor Vergata opened the match with immediate intensity, scoring off the opening serve and quickly building momentum. Prometeo responded with powerful hits and commanding front-court play, briefly tying the score at 7–7. However, Tor Vergata proved dominant at the net and delivered a series of powerful spikes that helped extend the lead. Despite a late push from AUR/Prometeo, CUS Roma closed out the set 25–19.
The second set initially swung in AUR’s favor. Early points off serves helped the team surge to a 9–3 lead, showing strong communication and energy. Tor Vergata gradually worked its way back into the set, an impressive performance whose combination of blocks and hits shifted the momentum. The comeback was completed as Tor Vergata captured the second set 25-20.
In the third set, Prometeo once again started hot but struggled to maintain consistency as the set progressed. Tor Vergata capitalized on the shift in momentum and steadily pulled away, using strong serving and front-row attacks to widen the gap. Despite a late effort from AUR to close the deficit, CUS Roma secured the final points to complete three straight sets of victory and a third set score of 25-20.
The match featured intense rallies and moments of impressive teamwork from both sides. Looking ahead, AUR will need to improve on its closing ability in tight sets to secure more wins.
